The Traditions & Qualité president, Marc Haerbelin

We celebrated our 55th anniversary in 2009. This is a good age for going over the history of an association that had only six members at the beginning and that has endeavoured to promote, year in, year out, excellent food throughout the world, always on the lookout for the best from every continent.

Thanks to the membership of Australia in 2010, Les Grandes Tables du Monde is now represented in 23 countries on 4 continents, and the Association will endeavour to constantly defend quality in all its forms..

Fifty-five is also a wonderful age to think about the future and adapt to new technologies that are part of our everyday lives: you can download an iPhone application to your mobile telephone to obtain an information file on each of our restaurants and then access their reservation service.

A great many more projects await us in the future and in which you will be involved. Our common lifestyle vision, our passion for good products, a genuine taste for quality that we all share, beyond our cultural differences, all augur well our association enjoying a long life.

Our gastronomic voyage has only just begun!
